Transparent Motherhood

This is a brief study on motherhood. Although it won’t be ready for mother’s day, I’m searching for mothers that are willing to share their experiences with a wide range of people. Honest answers can help honest people. Are you willing to have your answers recorded?

Sample set of questions that I might ask.

How much do you allow others (ext. family, teachers, childcare workers, neighbors, church members, etc) to be involved in raising your children?

For working mom's, do you regret the career?

How much of a difference does having a partner really make?

What/Who is the biggest help in the struggle of being a mother? Biggest hindrance?

What would you do differently, if you could go back to the day that you gave birth?

What are your fears for your child? For yourself?

Have your kids attended daycare? Is that something to be afraid of? Would you leave kids with grown ups that don’t have kids? Would it matter whether or not the grown up was male or female?

How do you feel about corporal punishment in schools?

Is motherhood fulfilling?

Has motherhood changed you as a woman?

Has the standard of motherhood changed throughout the generations?

Wherever I go, I am ALWAYS welcomed in!! I don't HAVE to knock!! I have been given the invite to just open up the door and walk on in!! Anyway, you are interrupting my exercising! I have more important things to do! LOL! Before I am late for rehearsal FOR REAL!! LOL!!

If this ain't gang up on Shawnre' Day I don't know what is. I got my gloves and I've watched the Thrilla in Manila twice in 2 days.

C- I love your take on the Soloist. Ilike how you 'pick' the movie apart. I loved the movie but I never thought about Downey and his struggles with drugs. It must have really been tought doing those scenes. And you are so right about 'meeting them where they are'. So many times we try to 'fix' everything...everybody instead of just being there.
